Le Paris Basketball renforce son effectif et annonce aujourd’hui l’arrivée d’Amir SIMMS (23 ans, 2,03m) au sein du club parisien. Il portera le numéro 25.
L’ailier fort est formé chez les Clemson Tigers. Avec 122 matchs à son actif, le natif du New Jersey, s’impose comme un joueur de premier plan pour l’équipe universitaire de Caroline du Sud (13,4 points / 6,4 rebonds / 2,7 passes décisives lors de sa dernière année universitaire).
Non drafté en 2021, il est invité au training camp des New-York Knicks. Il rejoint finalement l’équipe G-League.
La saison dernière, Aamir Simms évoluait chez les Westchester Knicks réalisant 11,3 points / 5,4 rebonds / 1,6 passes décisives.
Shooter & rebondeur, l’ailier fort vient renforcer l’écurie parisienne et va apporter de la rotation sur le poste 4.
